Only in Finland can you find a kiosk primarily devoted to selling liquorice.
Ruoholahti Bridge
2012, Finland, HelsinkiRight now, this is a quiet location, a bridge that leads towards a newly built section of the city, close to the West harbour in Helsinki. In 10 years when the area is populated, this bridge will be a lot busier. This photo just reflects a quietness, a new beginning to 2012.

Snowbound Kiasma
2012, Finland, HelsinkiWonder why I keep losing right-handed gloves….
2011, Finland, Helsinki
Winter arrives and comes the usual digging out of gloves, hats and scarves. One thing that bugs me is why I keep losing right-handed gloves. I usually make sure to buy similar gloves so I can “match” them up later if I lose one. But it’s not such a good solution when the same sided glove is the one being lost all of the time.
